Joseph M. Chamberlain was an educator, curator and planetarium/museum director. He was assistant curator 1952- and astronomer 1953-1968 at the American Museum of Natural History-Hayden Planetarium; and assistant director of the AMNH 1966-1968, under director James A. Oliver.
